The Hellenic Lifeguard Academy was founded in 1996 from Nikos Giovanidis. The Academy deals exclusively with the development of lifeguarding and life rescue in Greece.
ΕΝΑΚ is currently the largest educational institution in the field of lifeguarding and one of the oldest lifeguard academies in Greece!
ENAK is a recognized Lifeguard Academy from the Greek Maritime Ministry and the Hellenic Coast Guard (Αρ. Πρωτ. Μ.Φ. 111.4/1/97/2699) – (Αρ. Πρωτ. 2118.6/02/02, ΑΤ. 580441)
The Hellenic Lifeguard Academy is an official training center of First Aid recognized from EFR – Emergency First Response (EFR Center number: S28558), which is a globally Recognized Organization – ERC/ILCOR Protocols.
The Hellenic Lifeguard Academy is an official member of the Union of Lifeguard Academies in Greece and SEKAPLAS/PEEY.

Graduates of the Hellenic Lifeguard Academy were the National Athletic Lifeguard Teamthat took part for the first time in the history of Greece in the World Rescue Games, which took place in Australia.
The Hellenic Lifeguard Academy is the leader in all lifeguard activities that take place in our country and organizes demonstrations of lifeguard technique in collaboration with Municipalities in Greece.

The Hellenic Lifeguard Academy also studies and organizes proposals and initiatives for the development and dissemination of lifeguarding in our country and supplies specialized lifesaving equipment to the lifeguard stations of Greece.
It is the first lifeguard school in Greece that established special Junior Lifeguard programs for children aged 9-14 years. Meanwhile, it participates in pan-European conferences, where the cooperation with Organizations and Institutes abroad, give the glamor and the characteristics of an equal lifeguard school in the field of world lifeguarding at international level.
With facilities unique to the Greek data and with over 11,500 graduates (it has a vocational rehabilitation department), ENAK has been steadily developing lifeguards in Greece in recent years. Our absolute specialization in Lifeguarding, makes us a pole of attraction for hundreds of people of all ages, who love the liquid element and offer to fellow human beings.
